Horizon Waves is a modern metal band that blends post-industrial atmospheres, futuristic soundscapes and catchy vocal lines. Combining powerful rhythms, melodic textures and compositions with a variety of influences, the band offers an immersive and energetic listening experience.

 

Formed in 2018 in Besançon, France, Horizon Waves has evolved from its Celtic rock/metal roots towards a more modern and progressive direction, leading to the release of their debut EP, Freedom of Mind, in 2021.

Following a line-up change in 2023, the band expanded its vocal identity with the duo Émilie and François, blending clean vocals, screams, growls, harmonies and guttural singing. This new dynamic shaped their latest EP, Asymptot, released in October 2024.

Blending oriental melodies, massive breakdowns and atmospheric textures, Horizon Waves explores themes of dystopia and the failings of modern civilisation. The band is now working on a new chapter with a forthcoming EP.
